Times-Tribune Staff Report

Student Council members from Triad Middle School deliver items collected for the food pantry.

Members of the Triad Middle School Student Council hosted a “Soup”er Bowl canned food drive the week of January 28-February 1.

Spirit week consisted of PJ Day, Twin Day, America Day, Crusader Day, and Jersey Day, with students asked to bring in a canned good for every day they dressed up.

Soup cans were worth 2 points and every other can was worth 1 point. The class that brought in the most points won a doughnut party.

Winners in each of the grades were as follows:

Eighth grade winner: Mrs. Hewitt’s class.

Seventh grade winner : Mr. Wise and Mrs. Schmidt’s class.

Sixth grade winner: Mrs. Beard’s Class.

Student Council board members collected the cans during their first hour classes, and kept track of the point. They then helped to deliver the cans to Ministries Unlimited.
