Parade for Women’s Voting Rights

The Edwardsville League of Women Voters is hosting a car parade celebrating 100 years of womens’ right to vote. Meet at the old Shop n Save on 2122 Troy Rd at 10:30 a.m. and departing at 11 a.m. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome. The parade will go through the Dierberg’s Plaza, right on Plum St. and continue down Main St. The parade will return on the same route except turning left onGovernor’s Parkway instead of through the shopping center.

Participants can decorate their car with signs or however they want. The colors for the women’s suffrage movement are purple, gold, and white.
