Singleton Resigns To Take Job In Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office

After six years as the Chief of Police for Marine Police Department, Chris Singleton resigned from his position at the December 16 Village Board meeting to join the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office as Chief/Lead Investigator. The resignation is effective January 1, 2021.

Singleton will be replacing Don Patrillo, who recently retired.

“I love Marine, I love the people. My heart is here. I’ve got a great career move”, Singleton said, adding he and his wife will continue to raise their family in Marine.

    Singleton was recorded on duty drinking at a party in uniform, so he had to resign.

      Can’t say that I’m surprised about the last comment, if it’s true I don’t understand how Madison Co could hire him for that position, but then again it’s Madison Co… I hope that one day karma catches up with him and his true colors show for all the world to see.
