Geneva Fox

Geneva Fox, 90, of Troy, passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.  She was born March 13, 1930 in Little Kansas, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Alice (Williams) Burks.

She married Henry Herschel Fox on November 20, 1948 in West Plains, MO and he passed away on April 19, 1999.

Geneva was a loving homemaker and member of the Collinsville Church of Christ.  She enjoyed nature, tending to flowers, walking and enjoyed her visits to Troy Park.  She loved cooking for others and loved making and eating biscuits and gravy.  She was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and always loved being with babies and dogs.  She cherished her children and grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Fox of Highland and Terry Fox of Troy; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Feldpausch of Troy and Jennifer Miller of Highland; eight grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Alex, Isaiah, Karigan, Tricia, Alison and Shane; five great grandchildren, Keala, Fernandez, Yavonne, Tyler and Greyson; two sisters, Kathryn Hall of Kansas City, MO and Barbara Sexton of West Plains, MO; several nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brendon; two sisters, Opal Hunter and Alpha Martin and two brothers, Floyd Burks Jr. and Lucian Burks.

In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Ed Borderhausen officiating.

Burial will follow at Friedens Cemetery in Troy.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  www.irwinchapel.com
