Tuesday night was a good night for a couple of boys soccer teams in the Times-Tribune circulation area. Both Triad and Collinsville won their respective sectional semifinals to advance to championship games Friday night.
Triad beat Carbondale 5-0 on their home field in the Class 2A sectional semifinal. Wyatt Suter had the hat trick while Toby Suter had four assists.
They will face Mascoutah in the finals Friday night at 6:00 pm at Triad. The Indians beat Civic Memorial 3-2 at Triad this evening.
Collinsville got an early goal from Trey Peterson and a late goal from Jimmy Crowder to beat O’Fallon 2-0 to advance to the title game of the Collinsville Class 3A Sectional this Friday at 7:00 pm.
They will face Moline at Kahok Stadium. Moline was a 1-0 winner over Minooka tonight at Joliet West High School.
