Glen Carbon To Vote On New Finance Director

Mayor Marcus is pleased to announce that he will ask the Village Board to appoint Ms. Kelly Korte to the position of Director of Finance due to the recent resignation of Scott Borror.
Ms. Korte most recently served as the Director of Finance for the City of Highland. Korte obtained her Associates of Science Degree from BAC/SWIC followed by a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. Following the
completion of her bachelor’s degree, Korte began her career as an accountant with Scheffel and Company in Highland. Korte joined the City of Highland in February of 2009 as Assistant Director of Finance and transitioned to the Director of Finance in July 2011.
Korte and her family reside in Highland, and she is excited to continue her career with the Village of Glen Carbon.
The Village Board will vote on the appointment at its next meeting on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
