The Field of Honor and Service project at Tri-Township Park is 90% complete and organizers are asking for help in the final stage.
Project manager Tim Greenfield said in an update this week it’s been a long road the past three years due to the many difficulties our nation has faced. Through the generosity of the people, civic organizations, local and regional businesses, trade unions and various government agencies the project, however, has moved forward.
“Our mission is to continue our history of honoring the extraordinary men and women both military and first responders who sacrificed so much to preserve our way of life, the American way of life,” Greenfield said.
The final funding goal is $15,000 which will complete the construction and provide safety and security to the sculptures and memorial stones. Donations can be mailed to the “Field of Honor and Service” Tri-Township Park, 410 Wickliffe Street, Troy, IL, 62294.
