Collinsville boys bowling wins 2 over weekend
By Mark Jurgena
The Collinsville boys bowling team took a pair of match victories last week over conference foes.
CHS 36 Alton 4
Cole Buckman and Jacob Taylor led the way for the Kahoks on Dec. 7 at Bowl Haven Lanes in Alton.
“Some of those games were closer than the score looked there,” said Hay. “The second game we only won by two pins. It came down to the 10th frame and it was nice to see Cole Buckman in the anchor spot with the first two strikes there to get us the win. That’s the kind of stuff that happens in matches that tests your mental mettle during the season so when that time comes we know we can do it.”
Buckman fired a 650 series including games of 228 and 229 while Taylor fired a 644 series and had a high game of 265 in his final game of the day.
Ben Sloan was next with a 595 series including a 202 and 200 on the day.
Brandon Campbell rolled a high game of 224 while Mason Foley had a high game of 209.
