Bowling Lady Knights take three of last four matches

The Triad Lady Knights faced off against Jerseyville, Mascoutah, Civic Memorial and Highland the last two weeks – winning three of the four matches.

On Jan. 5, the Knights faced the Jersey Panthers at Tri-County Bowl ,winning 33-7 with seniors Kaylee Broadfield and Haylee Harper each shooting well. Kaylee shot a high game of 209 and a 525 series.  Haylee bowled a high game of 207 and 558 series. Junior Brylee Proffitt also had a good day on the lanes shooting a 615 series and had a high game of 215. Junior Ava Burrelsman had a high game of 168 and Sophomore Ru Fuller a high game of 127.

Matchplay on Jan. 10 was against the Mascoutah Indians at Triad’s home house, Hi-Top Bowl which brought the Knights their one loss. The girls had some good high games, but not enough for the win. Senior Kaylee Broadfield had a high game of 178, Sophomore Riley Reeves 158, Junior Ava Burrelsman 145, Senior Haylee Harper 169 and Junior Brylee Proffitt 203.

The Knights bowled against the Civic Memorial Eagles Wednesday, Jan. 11 at home winning the match 38 1/2 points out of 40. Triad’s total pin fall was 2044 to Civic Memorial’s 1527.

Gameplay on Jan. 12 took the girls to Poplar Junction in Highland to meet up against the Highland Bull Dogs, which resulted in a win for Triad. Senior Haylee Harper had an outstanding day on the lanes shooting a high game of 276 and a high series of 697. Senior Kaylee Broadfield had a good day as well shooting a 573 series with a high game of 203.  Junior Brylee Proffitt rolled a 561 series and a 213 high game. Junior Ava Burrelsman shot a nice high game of 179 and a 459 series. Sophomore Riley Reeves helped with the win rolling a high game of 160 and a 447 series.  

The Knights did compete in one tournament on Jan. 7 at SI bowl in Carterville. The Carterville High School Girls Invite brought a tough day on the lanes, but the girls battled through three regular games of team and 16 games of baker. The Lady Knights managed to finish 13th out of 23 teams with a total pinfall of 2134.
