Triad Girls bowl in Cross-Town Classic

On Jan. 16, the Triad Girls competed in the Cross-Town Classic hosted by the Highland Bulldogs. The girls bowled three games at their home house Hi-Top Bowl and then moved to Highland’s home house Poplar Junction Lanes to bowl another three games. The Knights had a couple low games, but overall were able to bring it back with an 856, 864, 866 and a 906. Their team series total from both squads was 5038 putting them in 5th place out of 10 teams.
The Knights individually had a good series on the day. Junior Brylee Proffitt had a strong day on the lanes shooting a high game of 279 and a total pinfall of 1256. Giving her a 2nd place finish behind Mascoutah’s Rhyleigh Wilson whose total pinfall was 1305. Senior Haylee Harper finished 10th with a total pinfall of 1067 and a high game of 203. Senior Kaylee Broadfield finished 14th with a total pin of 1030 and a high game of 207. Other high games on the day belonged to Junior Ava Burrelsman with a 177, Junior Clara Doubet with a 167, Sophomore Riley Reeves with a 147 and Ru Fuller with a 121.
