Glen Carbon Police respond to Best Buy robbery

GLEN CARBON — Four people have reportedly been taken into custody after the Glen Carbon Police Department and other law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a robbery at a Best Buy that occurred Thursday night as reported by the department Friday morning.

According to preliminary information from the Glen Carbon Police Department, the incident reportedly occurred at the Best Buy located at 6670 Edwardsville Crossing Drive in Edwardsville. Due to the location the Glen Carbon Police Department was determined to be the main investigator in this case.

The Edwardsville Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois State Police were all involved in the response and arrests of the suspects along with the Glen Carbon Police Department. No names have been released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and the Glen Carbon Police Department hopes to release more information later today.
