Chamber holds grand reopening ribbon cutting for Serene Renewal Medical Spa

MARYVILLE — The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand reopening of Serene Renewal Medical Spa with a ribbon cutting on Friday. 

Serene Renewal Medical Spa/Serene Women’s Wellness is owned by Dr. Christina Dothager MD, and she operates the practice alongside Dr. Markel Owens MD, and a team of qualified professionals. Serene Renewal Medical Spa provides anti-aging treatments, Coolsculpting, and various laser treatments including hair removal and tattoo removal. They have a large customer base for supervised weight management with injections or prescription medications as well as bioidentical hormone therapy with creams, sublinguals, or pellets. They offer skin care services with facials, dermaplaning, and chemical peels and even offer hair restoration with PRP injections.

“Being a focused gynecology women’s health practice, we are able to focus more on hormone therapy and kind of getting to the roots of peoples’ problems at the center of their life when they are most active and trying to help them thrive with self-esteem, weight management and just making them feel more balanced.” Dothager said. “We also do men’s health with weight management, tattoo removal and things like that, but our major focus is hormone therapy.” 

Dothager said that the Medical Spa side of things is more focused on aesthetics that make the patient feel better/have more confidence. 

The ribbon cutting celebrated the updates that have been to the facility as Dothager explained. 

“It has been about a year now and we have really found ourselves needing the larger space, because our patient volume is increasing,” Dothager said. “We are excited that the community is learning who we are.”

Owens shared her thoughts on the grand reopening. 

“It is exciting with the grand reopening and to see us grow pretty fast,” Owens said. “It has been a good experience and I have been loving every moment of it.” 

Friday’s event featured a variety of giveaways, appetizers, tours and more.
