COLLINSVILLE — The Collinsville High School girls basketball team finished their summer after last week’s Triad tournament. They had an excellent summer completing their schedule with a 16-3 record.
The Kahoks went 3-1 at the Triad tourney.
They fell in their opener to Class 2A power Carlyle before beating Father McGivney in their second game.
They beat Freeburg in the Consolation quarterfinals and Waterloo for the Consolation crown.
Collinsville went 2-1 earlier in the summer at Salem.
They traveled to Poplar Bluff, Mo. for the Rib City Shootout where they went 5-1 while also playing the league at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville.
“Girls worked very hard,” said coach Colin Moore. “Talesha (Gilmore) has taken her game and attitude to the next level.
“This was a great summer. You can really see what it means to have a team aspect. Our other two seniors Lily (Carlisle) and Carsyn (Moad) really stepped up and made this summer a priority. We are excited for the season.”
