Early Election Voting Opens Next Week

Madison County Clerk Linda Andreas has announced that those interested in voting early in this year’s general election, set for Tuesday, November 5, may do so at her office in the administration building located at 157 North Main Street in Edwardsville, beginning next Thursday, September 26, and continuing every weekday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. through Monday, November 4.
Starting in late October, there will also be other designated sites for early voting including the Troy City Hall at 116 East Market Street and the senior citizen center in Collinsville at 420 East Main Street.
The Troy location will be open for early voting the weeks of October 21 through 25 and October 28 through November 1 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Those wishing to vote early at the senior center in Collinsville may do so between noon and 6 p.m. the same weeks as indicated for Troy City Hall plus also on Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. until noon and Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
It is additionally possible to vote early in the Willow Room of the Morris University Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from Wednesday, October 30, through Friday, November 1, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The last day to register for this year’s general election is Tuesday, October 8, with all forms due to the election department of Andreas’ office by the following day. Any individual who will be at least 18 years old on or before November 5, 2024, is qualified to register and vote in this election.
