Troy Historical Society to host 2nd Annual Downtown Trick or Treat Trail

TROY — The Troy Historical Society is looking to give the community an afternoon of Halloween fun as they plan to host their second annual Downtown Trick or Treat Trail.
According to information provided by the society, the event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 and will include treats, crafts, raffles and an open house. The Troy Historical Society will be located along with Rebekah’s Lodge at 201 S. Main Street (I.O.O.F. lodge building).
Marianna Simms, an Officer with the Troy Historical Society discussed some of the things people can expect for this year’s event.
“(The raffle will have) multiple baskets with gift cards from the surrounding community businesses and for crafts we are doing ghost or pumpkin rock painting,” Simms said. “We will also have candy to pass out for everyone.”
Participation is subject to change. This year’s trail has 26 initial signups. People are welcome to start at whichever location. “This year, we are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming even more visitors to tour our museum and help us raise awareness and support for not only the historical society, but also our local businesses,” Simms said.
