Maryville Turkey Trot Slated for Nov. 16

MARYVILLE — The 19th annual Maryville Turkey Trot, slated for Saturday, Nov. 16 and sponsored by the Maryville Parks and Rec Committee, is currently taking reservations. Open to all ages, the registration forms are available online at www.vil.maryville.il.us.
There is a $25 entry fee if paid by Nov. 10 and $30 on race day for the 5K. Accuracy one-mile walk/run registration is $10.
The 5K run and one mile accuracy walk/run will be through Drost Park in Maryville. Start time for the event is 9 a.m. for the 5K and 9:10 a.m. to the walk/run. Awards, a $30 gift certificate, will be given to the 5K Male and Female overall and Masters overall (age 40+). Awards will also be given to division winners for first, second and third place. Divisions for the 5K are age 9 and under; age 10 to 15; age 16 to 19; age 20 to 29; age 30 to 39; age 40 to 49; age 50 to 59; and, age 60 and over.
The accuracy walk/run winners both overall and in each division will be awarded medals. Accuracy participants must accurately predict their one-mile time. Divisions are Youth (13 and under), high school, open (19 to 54) and senior (55 and above).
