Oklahoma State’s baseball recently added a Triad Knight to their list of talented commits.

Drew Winslow discussed his choice to join the Big 12, “One of the main reasons I chose Oklahoma State was because of the family culture that I felt there when I took my visits. Everybody is on the same page all the time and it all feels like one big family. Also, the facilities and coaches there are top notch so that’s another reason why I chose Oklahoma State. I feel that I can reach my potential in pitching by attending Oklahoma State.”

The Cowboys, who compete at the Division I level of the NCAA, are fresh off a 42-19 season. The squad finished with a 19-9 record in Big 12 play.

Winslow looks forward to the task of joining the high-level program, “Playing college baseball is a challenge that I look forward to. I can’t wait to be at the university and get better every single day by putting in the work that is necessary.”

In his Triad baseball career, the college-bound pitcher has amassed 24 appearances on the mound. Winslow has a career record of 4-3 for the Knights.

The standout Knight has also made an impact on the basketball court for Triad, racking up 1142 points through three seasons.

At Oklahoma State, Winslow plans to study general business with interests in the fields of financial advisory and accounting.

Winslow shared his appreciation to those that helped on his way to the next level,“I would most importantly like to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ because my faith is what drives me to put in the work to maximize the ability that he has given me. I am very blessed to have the opportunities that I have to get better, so I plan to take advantage of that. I would also like to thank my parents who have supported me through every part of my journey, not just in baseball, but in my life as a whole. I would also like to thank my coaches who have developed me to this point. I would not be the baseball player that I am without them”
