The Illinois EPA has announced the award of $640,000 in grant funds to the Village of Maryville. The grant is part of the EPA’s investment in water infrastructure throughout Illinois.

“Illinois EPA is proud to operate a robust State Revolving Fund that allows us to partner with local governments in meeting the challenges of aging and deteriorating water infrastructure,” said Acting Director of the IEPA James Jennings. “Our drinking water and wastewater loan programs provide our communities and water districts with vital funding needed to repair and replace the outdated or failing equipment.”

A total of $9.9 million was awarded statewide. The award for Maryville will assist the Village in paying the cost to install a watermain and related appurtenances. It will assist the Village to improve an aging system infrastructure.
