In Collinsville Township, voters re-elected several incumbents and added new faces, resolving a period of political tension. Township Supervisor David Cox, who faced criticism during the campaign, defeated Charles Oberkfell with 2,741 votes to 2,506.

“I look forward to setting the record straight about several other mistruths spread to ruin my reputation and re-election,” Cox said. “This should not be allowed or tolerated. When we see phony politicians, we must continue to reject them. I have never been more motivated to do a great job for you, the citizens.”

Cox added that he plans to pursue several ideas and projects to benefit residents of Collinsville Township.
