Ministries Unlimited in Troy has new after-hours Drop Box

Thanks to a local Girl Scout Gold Award project by Emily Geisen, Ministries Unlimited now has a new drop box for donations.
Emily approached Kathy Scheller, Director of Operations, in 2024 about doing her Gold Award project. They discussed what would be most helpful to the pantry and decided on an after-hours drop box.
Once this was determined, Emily then had to write a proposal to present to the Gold Award Committee for approval. This process is very time-consuming, because it involves designing, funding and a timeline for the project.
At each step of the process there is documentation to be completed. Emily worked a long time on this project and on June 21, it was installed at the pantry. Emily received donations from two local businesses to pay for the project, A to Z Dentistry and Neal’s Plumbing. Emily now has to present her final paperwork to receive her Gold Award. A huge shout-out for all of your hard work and congratulations on finishing the project to receive your Gold Award! The new drop box for donations is located on the side of the building for those who wish to donate items when the pantry is not open.
