Country Lane in Troy to close between July 10, July 13 for construction

TROY – During the July 7 city council meeting, Troy’s Chief Engineer, Tom Cissell, announced that as one of three active road construction projects around town, Country Lane is set to close between July 10 and July 13 as part of the work to add a southbound left-turn lane onto Troy-O’Fallon Road.

“The plan is that road will be closed for those three days so we can knock that segment of that road out fast,” Cissell said. “After that’s open, they’ll go back to Troy-O’Fallon Road and do the other side of the road.”

Cissell also took the opportunity to remind motorists not to speed through construction zones – for workers’ safety, motorists’ safety and for any pedestrians’ or cyclists’ safety.
