Triad Cross Country teams place five medalists at final MVC meet

Another season of cross country has concluded in the Mississippi Valley Conference. The finale saw the Girls’ team take fourth overall and the Boys’ team take fifth.

Medalists of each team received All-Conference honors, two coming from the Boys’ squad in Caden Meier and Michael Schram, and three from the Girls’ consisting of Brynn Carey, Abby James and Emmy Goins.

Meier finished seventh among 42 competitors with a time of 16:07.1, a personal record. Schram finished tenth with a time of 16:31.7.

Carey finished 12th among 42 competitors with a time of 21:13.9. James finished eighth with a time of 20:35.6. Goins earned another top-five meet finish, trailing only one harrier from Waterloo with a time of 19:28.2.
