Jimmy Ford files for Illinois House District 112
By Tribune Staff • O’FALLON – Jimmy Ford officially filed to run for State Representative in the 112th District on Oct. 27, backed by an overwhelming show of grassroots support from across the Metro East.
Ford submitted 1,000 signatures, double the number required, demonstrating the strong community backing for his campaign and his vision to lower prices, cut taxes and deliver for working families.
“I am humbled by the amount of support and signatures my campaign has received,” said Ford. “When meeting people across the Metro East, they continue to tell me Springfield is not standing up for them and that it’s becoming more expensive to live and raise a family. People are ready for change.”
Ford emphasized that his campaign is about bringing compassion and toughness back to Springfield. “Our district deserves a leader who will lead with compassion and fight without fear. My promise is simple: I won’t take any crap when it comes to standing up for working families and delivering results to lower the cost of living.”
In addition to running his own business, he serves as First Officer and Diver on O’Fallon’s Underwater Search & Recovery Team, sits on the O’Fallon City Council and is the region’s top civilian fundraiser for Special Olympics Illinois, raising tens of thousands of dollars through events like Let’s Go to Jail for Special Olympics.
Jimmy Ford is running for State Representative to bring that same compassion, toughness, and commitment to service to Springfield, fighting to lower costs, strengthen communities, and put working families first.
