Triad school principals turned in their respective reports for the Oct. 27 board meeting. At C.A. Henning, student enrollment continues to grow, rising from 774 in August to 799 in October.

At Silver Creek, staff reported a 96 or 97% attendance rate in September (varied by grade level). The school currently has 657 students enrolled.

At Marine Elementary, Principal Jessica Bracamontes attended the Highland Area Community Foundation banquet to receive a grant for $930 to purchase new items to keep students active during indoor recess. Also, the school’s annual Fall Fest event drew a fantastic turnout and it raised a little more than $4,000 for the Marine PTO.

St. Jacob Elementary’s student enrollment is at 222.

Triad Middle’s student enrollment is up to 957. At the middle school, students sought to be Zero Heroes during the first quarter. For those who qualified, there was a reward in the form of a Fall Food Truck Frenzy:

  • Students who qualified had three or fewer absences for the quarter, no office referrals and no missing work
  • Numerous food truck vendors
  • Wipe-Out Inflatable Obstacle Course, along with inflatable soccer darts and hammer throw
  • Sidewalk Chalk, Football Friday Tattoos, Photo Booth, Football Toss, Music and fun

Triad Middle staff report that 66% of students were able to attend and meet these requirements

Overall, our 8th graders in all team sports are 56-3 on the year! Quite an accomplishment for these young talented athletes!!!

Student enrollment at Triad High has dropped slightly since August, coming at 1,214 students, nine fewer than at the start of school.
