Potential truck stop on Horseshoe Lake Road seeks approval for more construction

By Ray Popkess • The preliminary plat approval request for the Horseshoe Lake Road truck stop was brought forth to city council on Nov. 25. 

The proposed truck stop/gas station at 5213 Horseshoe Lake Road requires access to McDonough Lake Road due to access restrictions on Horseshoe. 

Property owners are proposing an agreement to develop a public road north of the proposed truck stop providing access to both parcels that would deem the road and subdivision of the property to the city. 

The next steps for the developers will be to create simple construction plans for the property and present those to the city council at a December meeting.
