Collinsville Dumpster Polar Plunge for Special Olympics coming Feb. 20
By Tribune Staff • Dear Community Supporter,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Tim Stempel and I’m reaching out on behalf of the Collinsville Dumpster Polar Plunge, an exciting and impactful fundraising event benefiting the incredible local Athletes of Special Olympics Illinois in our region.
Each year, brave participants take the plunge into the chilly waters of a Dumpster lined with plastic and filled with water, not trash to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics programs that empower individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, and leadership opportunities. Since we are not state funded, we rely heavily on our community to make these life-changing events possible. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better—and we’d love to have your support as a sponsor.
