Due to expected inclement weather, the full closure of the Illinois 157 and Illinois 162 intersection originally scheduled for Feb. 26 has been postponed to Monday, March 2.
The closure is necessary to construct two new bridges, a new signalized four-way intersection, and bike and pedestrian accommodations. Illinois 157 and the eastern leg of Illinois 162 are expected to be completed by Oct. 31. Completion of the overall $17.6 million project, including the western leg of Illinois 162, is expected by July 31, 2027.
