The temperatures required a light jacket but it didn’t keep hundreds of children from showing up on March 29 for the annual Glen Carbon Easter Egg Hunt. Young people from birth to 10 years of age lined the sidewalk of Schon Park waiting for the ‘start’ from the fire truck. Once the siren sounded, they took to the park grounds to collect colorful plastic eggs. The eggs were filled with candy and treats along with special prizes donated by local merchants.
