Gold Rush captured third Place in the Chippers Division, while Black Knights earned third Place in the Dusters Division to close out the 2026 spring season.
The High School League, hosted at Edwardsville Gun Club, has continued to grow since launching in 2015 and now regularly fills the club each week with athletes, parents, grandparents and supporters from across the region. Throughout the eight-week season, hundreds of athletes from multiple schools compete weekly in team-based trap shooting competition.
Triad fielded six teams this spring season, including Gold Rush, Orange Crush and Red Knights in the Chippers Division, along with Black Knights, Red Storm and Black Storm in the Dusters Division.
In addition to the team success, Triad athletes also earned individual recognition during the league awards ceremony. Camden Geiler was named Triad’s Top Male Shooter, while Kailynn Lanahan earned honors as Triad’s Top Female Shooter for the 2026 spring season.
“I’m proud of the way our athletes competed all season,” said Head Coach Bill Lawrence. “Gold Rush and Black Knights earned their place in the shoot off and both squads finished strong. This team continues to grow, and our shooters did a great job representing Triad.”
Triad coaches credited the team’s success to the commitment shown by the athletes throughout the season, along with the support from families, volunteers, and the Edwardsville Gun Club staff who help make league nights possible each week.
The spring season concludes with the annual shoot off, but preparations for the fall league season will begin later this summer. Students interested in joining the Triad High School Trap Team can contact the team at [email protected] for more information.
