Sports physicals available at select HSHS Medical Clinics in Greenville, Highland until Sept. 30

By Tribune Staff • Two HSHS Medical Group clinics in Greenville and Highland are offering sports physicals for children 18 years old or younger for a $20 flat rate now through Sept. 30.

Now is the time to get the physical completed well before the sports season starts. No appointment is necessary; walk into one of these convenient locations:

Sports Physicals

Children playing sports are likely required to submit a medical eligibility form signed by a physician or provider. During a sports physical, the physician or provider reviews the child’s complete health history, performs an orthopedic screening, examines the heart and lungs and ensures the student is at his or her best to compete.

School Physicals

Don’t forget to contact your child’s pediatrician or family doctor when needing a school physical. Also called annual well-child visits, school physical exams allow the physician or provider to track the child’s growth and development, perform screenings and take preventive measures by giving the child age-appropriate immunizations.
