Photos from Collinsville High School’s Sixth Annual Juneteenth Parade

Collinsville High School’s Black Student Union hosted its Sixth Annual Juneteenth parade on West Main Street, then a festival in the first block of East Clay Street, on Friday, June 19, in observance of what has been considered to be the announcement of the end of slavery at the conclusion of the Civil War. The high school’s band and cheer team were joined by other local organizations and groups for the parade while several local vendors offered a variety of craft items, food, drink and other products from tents set up in front of the Press House.
