Highland Police arrest resident on criminal sexual assault charges

Editor • Highland Police arrested resident Jeremy D. Yann, 42, on multiple criminal sexual assault charges allegedly involving his teenage daughter.
The charges were forwarded to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office and were filed on July 22. According to the court filing, the timeframe when these incidents allegedly occurred was from Nov. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2022, beginning when the victim, named within as N.Y., was 13 and ending when she was 17. All three charges cite sexual penetration. All three charges are Class 1 felonies.
A warrant has been issued, remanding Yann to jail for an initial appearance before a judge.
