Triad Track and Field finishes fifth at Meet of Champions, fourth at Carol Schneider Invite

Triad Boys and Girls Track and Field posted strong results last week in each of their weekly competitions. The boys traveled to Edwardsville High School on Saturday, April 25 for the 2026 Winston Brown Meet of Champions after the girls headed south for Mascoutah at the 2026 Carol Schneider Invitational on Wednesday, April 22.

Beginning with the field events, Grace Parker took seventh in discus, throwing a season best 31.75m (104’ 2”). She also took 17th in the shot put out of 34 competitors, throwing 8.63m (28’ 3.75”).
Addison Williams finished 15th in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.40m (4’ 7”).
Kyla Calvin set a new season best in pole vault, finishing in eighth overall and clearing 2.60m (8’ 6.25”).
Reece Nadler also set a personal best in the long jump. She was the top Lady Knight in the event, finishing 13th and landing 4.67m (15’ 4”) into the sand pit.
Sophia Schardan was the fastest overall in the 100m, sprinting her season best time of 11.93s. Addie Field finished directly behind her in second place with a time of 12.15s.
Field took third in the 200m sprint with a time of 25.44s. She also set a new personal best and a Triad school record in the 400m with a time of 58.14s.
Izzy Stein rounded out the top-five and came home with a medal in the 200m with a time of 25.80s.
Kacey Ruger took eighth in the 800m with a season best time of 2:32.50s.
Emmy Goins earned silver in the 1600m distance run, setting a new personal best with a time of 5:33.80s. Brynn Carey set a season best in the same event with a time of 6:31.98s, finishing 18th overall.
Cameron Powers took eighth in the 3200m, setting a new personal best time of 13:53.08s.
Moving into the high hurdles, Stella Noonan cracked the top 20 in the 100m with a time of 18.52s, finishing 19th overall.
Ava Gallia continues to dominate in the 300m intermediate hurdles, as she finished in second with a time of 45.77s. Noonan also competed in the event for Triad, finishing 16th with a personal best time of 52.60s.
Triads’ 4x100m relay team of Gallia, Reyna Rehg, Stein and Williams medaled in fourth place with a time of 49.34s.
The 4x400m relay team of Gallia, Maddy Norder, Maddie Schram and Ruger took home ninth place with a time of 4:13.63s.
The all-senior 4x800m relay team of Abby James, Carey, Morgan Mason and Alivia Phillips finished seventh overall with a time of 11:06.33s, rounding out the events for the day.
Triad Girls Track and Field will compete in their next event at the Lady Kahok Invite on Friday, May 1, their final regular season meet before heading to IHSA Sectionals in Springfield on Thursday, May 14.
Winston Brown Meet of Champions
Drayke Williams-Reynolds was the top Knight in both the discus and shot put. He took 20th in shot put with a throw of 12.81m (42’ 0.5”) and 25th in discus with a throw of 33.08m (108’ 6”).

Zane Meier took silver in pole vault, clearing the bar set at 4.45m (14’ 7.25”). Henry Parker was the next Knight on the leaderboard in 12th place. He cleared 3.70m (12’ 1.5”)
Jayden Rogers continues to impress in his first year of varsity competition. After taking home a handful of medals earlier last week at a Freshman Only Invite at O’Fallon, he finished seventh in the long jump in Edwardsville with an attempt of 6.27m (20’ 7”). Parker finished 14th in the same event, landing 5.83m (19’ 1.5”) into the sand pit.
Collin Baka took ninth in the triple jump with an attempt of 11.69m (38’ 4.25”). Jackson Darche finished close behind him with 11.09m (36’ 4.75”) on his best attempt.
Mac Musgrave took fifth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.85m (6’ 0.75”). Jacob Naylor finished just behind him in ninth, clearing 1.70m (5’ 7”).
Onto the track, Brock O’Toole and Brody Mriscin finished eighth and ninth in the 100m dash, respectively. O’Toole crossed the finish line with a time of 11.24s, and Mriscin just behind him with a time of 11.26s.
Jacob Odle set a new personal best in the 200m with a time of 22.46s, finishing in third. Jayden Howell finished just behind him, also setting a personal best with a time of 22.47s.
Silas Thomason and Cody Bagwell each cracked the top-10 in the 400m. Thomason finished eighth with a time of 51.86s. Bagwell crossed the finish line in 10th place with a time of 52.15s.
Sam Skirball and Ben Neuner were the next pair of Knights to set a personal best in the 800m. Skirball finished sixth overall with a time of 2:02.85s. Neuner finished 15th with a time of 2:09.84s.
Carter Rich set a new personal best finishing 13th in the 1600m with a time of 4:57.63s. Grant Jaros took 15th in the same event with a time of 5:05.71s.

Caden Meier joined the under-10 minute club in the 3200m, setting a new personal best time of 9:59.39s. Tucker Kruse took 16th in the event with a time of 12:43.03s.
Camden Geiler took 14th in the 300m hurdles with a time of 44.35s.
Triad’s 4x100m relay team took gold once again, making it back to back weeks they’ve earned at least second in the relay. Mriscin, O’Toole, Howell and Thomason combined for a time of 42.26s, notching the fourth time the group has cracked the Triad all-time record books this season.
In the fresh/soph 4×100, Andrew Myers, Landyn Todd, Ryan Colona and Jayden Rodgers combined for a time of 45.21s, putting them in third place among the grouping.
Triad’s varsity 4x200m team of Odle, O’Toole, Parker and Rodgers ran a 1:33.30 time, putting them seventh overall at the meet.
Bagwell, Geiler, O’Toole and Thomason ran a time of 3:32.23s in the 4x400m relay, placing them fifth overall.
Alex Moore, Rich, Jaros and John Montgomery took seventh in the 4x800m distance relay with a time of 8:58.19s.
The next boys competition for Triad will be the 2026 Knight Invite this Friday, May 1 at Triad High School.
