Jimmy Ford, Madison County Republicans to host suitcase donation drive benefitting Good Samaritan House on May 16

By Tribune Staff • Jimmy Ford and the Madison County Republican Party will host a suitcase, canned goods, and toiletries donation drive this Saturday, May 16, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Collinsville American Legion, located in Collinsville, Illinois. All donations collected will benefit The Good Samaritan House in Granite City.

“We’re proud to support the incredible work being done at The Good Samaritan House especially while families are struggling with high prices,” said Jimmy Ford. “Something as simple as a suitcase can mean the world to someone rebuilding their life, and we encourage everyone in our community to come out and put people over politics.”

The Good Samaritan House is an emergency shelter that provides shelter and support services to women and families in crisis across Madison County. Donated suitcases give residents a dignified way to carry and store their personal belongings as they work toward stability and a fresh start.

Community members are encouraged to drop off clean, gently used luggage of all sizes at the Collinsville American Legion on Saturday morning. Volunteers will be on hand to collect donations.
