After the last edition of the Times Tribune went to press, this reporter was able to get answers to questions some of the readers had regarding the investment group mentioned in the agenda items regarding the properties at 911 and 913 Main St. in Highland.

Interim City Manager Chris Conrad said that TJO Holdings, LLC, the developer named in the ordinances, is an investment group working with Schlafly brewery to open a brewery at 907 Main St. with a patio.

Because the lots next door are not suitable for building, the City is buying the property to build the Plaza Park. Schlafly will have exclusive rights to the patio between the park and the brewery for 20 years.

Construction on the park is set to begin as soon as the restrooms are delivered.

A location has not been selected for the new community pool. Plans were submitted to a public committee, but they have not made a public recommendation for the site.
