Shirley Marie Hauben
Shirley Marie Hauben, (nee Landry), 89, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, in Troy, Illinois. Shirley was born November 11, 1933, to Albert Alfonse Landry and Montese Teresita Landry (nee Mann), in Los Angeles, California. She was the oldest of seven children, and is survived by siblings, Naomi Jean Landry Freeman, Carol Ann Landry Price, and Harlen Joseph Mann Landry. 
Shirley was greeted in heaven by her parents Albert and Montese Landry; Murray Joseph Wagner, Jr.; grandson Taylor McGill; siblings Allene Augustine Holland, (nee Landry), Albert Martin Landry, Leona Lea Thor (nee Landry), and husband Sidney Sol Hauben.
In the early 1950s, Shirley married Murray Joseph Wagner, Jr., a United States Coast Guard Veteran and electrician for the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, a prominent aircraft manufacturer. They had three daughters: Rhonda Marie Wagner, Paula Marie Nourse Ragland, (nee Wagner), and Deanna Marie Wagner-Brice.
Over time, Shirley met and later married Sidney Sol Hauben, from Bronx, New York. Shirley continued her remarkable career, dedicating over 32 years of exceptional public service at the State of California Employment Development Department. Outside of work, she actively supported voting rights by volunteering to work in her community voting polls. She also dedicated personal support to Veteran-related non-profit organizations, served as President at her local AARP organization, and was a member of the Winter-Summer Ski Club of Burbank, California. Shirley loved to cook, play the piano, was an avid reader, prolific jazz enthusiast, world traveler, and enjoyed playing Mah Jong with friends.
Shirley’s surviving grandchildren include: Natalie Cooper, Erica Hall, Andrea Dwyer, Alexander Ragland, Chad C. Wagner Brice, Haley I.M. Wagner Brice, Shelby M. Wagner Brice, and Cody Wagner Brice; great-grandchildren: Olivia Cooper, Emily Marie McGill (Friedman), Xander Billingsley, Myles Franklin, Bevin Dwyer, Torey Dwyer, Octavia I.M. Wagner Brice; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Burial of Shirley and her husband Sidney is being planned for Thursday, June 15, 2023 when family and friends will be meeting at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon at 12:00 p.m. for a processional to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where both will be laid to rest together.
