On April 7 the Collinsville girls track team competed at the Lady Knights Invite.
The Kahoks brought home an 11th place finish with 32 points. Normal (University High) took the crown with 113 points while Edwardsville was second with 111 points.
Individual results
For Collinsville Deairra Spears registered the top finish with her third place finish in the 100 meters. She ran a time of 13.07 seconds. Fellow Kahok Ragin Clemons ran a 13.37 good for sixth place.
Reese Mitchell of U-High took the title with a time of 12.55 seconds.
Craig Hall brought home a sixth place medal in the shot put with a toss of 10.41 meters or 34’ 2”. Emily Sykes of Granite City won the event with a mark of 12.14 meters or 39’ 10”.
In the triple jump, Ashley Janini took seventh with a mark of 9.49 meters of 31’ 7 ¾”. Annelise Beck of Mascoutah won the title with a 10.56 meter bound. That converted to 34’ 7 ¾” in standard form.
Relay results
In the 4×100 meters, the Collinsville team of Spears, Clemons, Talesha Gilmore and Jordan Gary took fifth place with a time of 51.45 seconds. Cahokia won the title with a time of 50.37 seconds.
The JV 4×400 meter race saw CHS run a time of 4:36.03. Kaylynn Castens, Brooklyn Dixon, Toby Hawkes, and Catalina Jimenez-Magana ran for CHS.
In the JV 4×100 meter relay, CHS took sixth place with the team of Hawkes, Dixon, Ashley Janini, and Tillman.
The 4×200-meter relay team took fifth place with a time of 1:57.79. The same team as in the 4×100 relay took part in the 4×200 relay.

The girls take part in the O’Fallon Invite tomorrow.
