James L. Diemer

James L. Diemer, 75, of Troy, IL, born Saturday, May 15, 1948 in Iowa Falls, IA and passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Aspen Creek of Troy, IL.

James was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Troy, IL.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, football, following and attending NASCAR races.  Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Arlene D. (nee Welcko) Diemer.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (nee Roberts) Diemer of Troy, IL, whom he married April 17, 1968 in Manly, IA; his children, Cynthia (Rodney) Ruttenbur of Troy, IL, Sandra (Scott) Willtrout of Collinsville, IL and Randy Diemer of Shrewsberry, MO; his grandchildren, Ryan (Allison) Holcomb, Brooke Holcomb, Alex Diemer and Tyler Willtrout; his brother, Larry (Colleen) Diemer of Clarkston, MI; and many dear friends.
