Norma J. Caraker

Norma J. Caraker, 60, of Troy, IL formerly of Cahokia, IL, born Thursday, September 5, 1963 in East St. Louis, IL and passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Troy, IL.
Norma never met a stranger, loved and took care of many family and friends.  She waited tables at Seargent Peppers in Edwardsville for over 17 years, she also worked at Troy Family Diner and Luckey Rooster in St. Jacob, IL.  She enjoyed the times she spent with her family and friends, her special friend Bob Mallory.  She loved her Wiener Dog “Charlie”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Tom” Caraker; parents, Norman E. Bequette and Barbara S. (Daugherty) Coonce; her sister, Judith Latner; and her brother, Charles Bequette.
Surviving are her children, Jenny (Josh) Hosler of Granite City, IL, Andrea (Sam) Hall of Shiloh, IL and Neil Howard of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Darren, Haley and Donavan Howard, Audrey and Emma West; her sister, Debbie Coffey of St. Charles, MO; brothers Darryl Bequette of Nebo, IL, Billy Bequette of Belleville, IL and James Bequette of Enid, OK; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Norma will be 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 23, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating.
