Glentennial Homecoming in Glen Carbon proves huge success

By Tribune Staff • The 100th Glen Carbon homecoming did not disappoint. The weather held out. The crowds are ready to celebrate this year’s birthday of Glen Carbon homecoming, Route 66 and the 250th of the country and the celebration was evident.
Vendors at the event reported running out of food toward the end of Saturday. The streets were packed for the parade. And there were more tickets sold for the carnival than ever before.
